Three-Car Crash Injures One

OCEAN CITY – A three-car collision involving two vehicles being driven and a parked vehicle was reported to police Oct. 9 at approximately 7:57 a.m. Ocean City Police and Fire Department Units arrived and all vehicles involved were at the scene of the incident. The driver of the first vehicle, Garrett T. Ellis, of Ocean City sustained no injuries. The second motorist involved, Anna M. Marshall, of West Chester, Pa. was seated in her car and sustained lower body injuries. Marshall was transported to Atlantic City Medical Center – City Division, to be treated for her injuries.  
Investigation revealed that Ellis’ vehicle was driving northbound on Simpson Avenue approaching 35th Street when the vehicle entered the intersection of Simpson Avenue, colliding with another vehicle which was being operated by Marshall. The vehicle operated by Marshall was driving westbound along 35th Street when the collision occurred. Ellis’ vehicle came to an immediate stop after initial impact. Marshall’s vehicle went into a counter-clockwise spin southbound, striking a parked vehicle in the 3500 block of Simpson Avenue until coming to final rest against a city owned recreation building at 35th and Simpson Avenue. 
The incident is under investigation by Patrolman Patrick Walsh of the Ocean City Police Traffic Safety Unit.
