Three Car Accident Flips SUV in Cape May

CAPE MAY — Cape May police investigated a motor vehicle collision involving three cars on Sat. June 19 about 9 a.m. in which one of the vehicles rolled over and came to rest on its roof.
Rescue/Fire Units from the Cape May Fire Department,Coast Guard Fire Department, and Cape May Fire Police responded to a collision on Pittsburgh Avenue at Delaware Avenue.
The investigation, by Ptlm. Walker revealed that a car being driven southbound on Pittsburgh Avenue by Diane Kezlaw, 39, of Villas, made an abrupt left turn onto Delaware Avenue without yielding to a northbound vehicle on Pittsburgh Avenue being driven by Andrew Tirpek, 70, of Flemington.
After the two vehicles collided, Tirpok’s vehicle, a 1999 Ford Explorer, rolled over and came to rest on its roof in the intersection after striking a third vehicle being operated by Betsy Schmidt, 64, of Pittsburgh, PA. No serious injuries were reported.
Police have cited Kezlaw with making an improper turn. She is due to appear in Cape May Municipal Court on Wed., June 30 at 9 a.m.
