Teen Injured in Ocean City Waterway Accident

OCEAN CITY — Just before 1 p.m on July 20, Ocean City Fire Department received a 9-1-1 call of a boating accident in the Intracoastal Waterway off Ocean City.
The fire department’s water rescue boat was dispatched to the scene.
When Firefighters arrived, they reported a victim unconscious in the water and requested a Medevac helicopter to fly.
Medevac 5 landed at the Ocean City Municipal Airport and transported a 17-year-old victim with a reported head injury, believed to be sustained from a boating accident.
No further information was available.
