By Al Campbell

DENNISVILLE — The 3:12 p.m. Aug. 9, one-vehicle accident on Fidler Road claimed the life of Crystal Sparks, 22, of North Wildwood and her daughter, Cayla Barges, whose first birthday would have been next month, according to State Police.
It is still unknown what caused the fiery crash in the vicinity of Dennis Township Elementary School.
Police said Sparks was traveling south on Fidler Road when the minivan she was operating left the highway and hit a tree.
The mother wore a seat belt in the driver’s seat and the child was in the rear in a baby seat.
Anyone who witnessed the tragic crash, and who may help State Police understand what happened is asked to call the Woodbine headquarters at (609) 861-5698.
