Single-vehicle Crash Claims Life of Vineland Woman

SOUTH DENNIS – New Jersey State Police (NJSP) are investigating a fatal accident that occurred on Route 47 Jan. 31.
According to NJSP Public Information Officer Sgt. Philip Curry, the crash occurred at about 7:30 p.m., at milepost 16.8, on State Highway 47, in South Dennis. 
Curry said the initial investigation shows a Toyota Camry was traveling north on Route 47 when the vehicle traveled off the road, struck a tree, and overturned.
The driver, Melissa DeJesus, 40, of Vineland, died as a result of her injuries.
The crash remains under investigation, Curry said.
