Single Car Crash Results in Careless Driving Charge

RIO GRANDE – Middle Township Police Department responded to a single car crash on Route 47 in Rio Grande Feb. 21 at 7 p.m.
Patricia Gregory, 47, of Del Haven was driving south on 47 near Menz Restaurant, when the vehicle left the roadway. The vehicle struck several fence posts before striking a utility pole. The utility pole was fractured approximately four feet up the pole. Gregory was not injured in the crash.
Gregory was issued a summons for careless driving.
Rio Grande Fire Company and Middle Township EMS responded to the scene.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty. This report is based on information received from law enforcement.
