BROAD CREEK N.C.- ENCToday.com and the Associated Press are reporting the body of Kenneth Rose Sr, captain of the fishing vessel, Sea Tractor, which sank 25 miles off Cape May last week, washed ashore near Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge on North Carolina’s Outer Bank over the weekend.
The body was found on a beach by a person collecting seashells. The crew members were from Broad Creek area.
On Thursday, Nov 12, all Coast Guard assets were returned to port after searching for nineteen hours. Also missing are: Kenneth Kenneth Rose Jr., 49, and Larry Forrest, 55.
The Coast Guard received an electronic position indicating radio beacon transmission at 7:35 p.m., on Wednesday, Nov 11, from the fishing boat Sea Tractor.
Rescue helicopter crews from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City, arrived on scene and found an empty life raft with a strobe light attached.
