Sea Isle, Traffic Safety Alliance Dedicate Pink Tree for Casey

By Herald Staff

SEA ISLE CITY — This community and the South Jersey Traffic Safety Alliance will dedicate a Pink Remembrance Tree for Casey Feldman, a 21-year-old from Springfield, Pa. who was killed last summer when a van struck her at an Ocean City intersection, as part of Sea Isle City’s Community Day.
The tree, decorated with 1,400 pink LED lights, stands in front of the police department on JFK Boulevard as a traffic safety reminder.
The dedication is planned for Saturday, May 1 at noon. Scheduled to be in attendance are: Teresa Thomas, of the Traffic Safety Alliance; Leonard Desiderio, Sea Isle City mayor; Thomas D’Intino, Sea Isle City police chief; and Diane Anderson and Joel Feldman, Casey’s parents. There will also be tables with safety supplies.
The driver of the van, Anthony Lomonaco, 59, of Court House, recently plead guilty to reckless driving.
