Porch Roof Collapse Injures Employee of House Lifting Company

OCEAN CITY – An employee of a house lifting company was injured May 5 after a porch roof collapsed on him.
According to OCNJDaily, the accident occurred on the 400 Block of West Avenue where a home was being prepped to be lifted.
The “B” platoon of the Ocean City Fire Department responded and found the employee partially pinned under the front porch roof, that had ripped from the house, according to a post on Ocean City Fire and Rescue Services Facebook page.
The victim was removed quickly and transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Trauma Center.
The cause of the collapse is under investigation.
