DENNISVILLE – State Police are seeking the identity of a hit and run driver who struck a bicyclist the evening of Oct. 21.
According to police, a dark-colored sports utility vehicle was traveling in the eastbound lane of Tuckahoe Road (C.R. 631) when it collided with a bicycle at milepost 1.8.
The bicyclist, identified as Robert O. Harris, 22, of Woodbine, was also traveling in the eastbound land.
After striking Harris, the driver of the SUV fled the scene and was last seen traveling westbound on Tuckahoe Road. The vehicle is reported to have sustained damage to the right quarter panel and was missing its right side mirror.
Harris was airlifted to the trauma center of Atlanticare Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
