Police Charge Egg Harbor Man in Domestic Violence MVA

CAPE MAY — Police here arrested an Atlantic County resident Oct. 25 in connection with a domestic violence incident. At 10:34 p.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of New York Avenue on a call reporting a disturbance and an accident involving a 1996 Dodge Ram truck and a pedestrian.
Police arrested Eric K. Kirchner, 44, of Egg Harbor City, for allegedly running over a female victim as she held onto the exterior of the vehicle during an argument.
According to police, the victim did not appear to be seriously injured and refused medical treatment.
Kirchner was charged with reckless driving, DUI, failure to submit breath samples, and 3rd degree aggravated assault. In addition, an outstanding warrant for his arrest was served issued by Keansburg Municipal Court.
Kirchner was unable to post the $2,500 bail and was placed in county jail.
