RIO GRANDE– On July 15, 2009 at approximately 8:52 AM the Middle Twp. Police Department responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Wildwood Boulevard in the area of the Cape May County MUA.
Investigation revealed that a 1999 Gold Pontiac Grande Am was traveling westbound on Wildwood Blvd. in the Rio Grande Section of the Township, when it left the roadway and struck a utility pole.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Harry M. Kotyk 4th of Wildwood Crest, age 26. Kotyk was transported via SouthStar to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City to be treated for his injuries. There is no update on his medical condition at this time.
Kotyk was charged with Driving while Intoxicated, Reckless Driving and other traffic offenses. Wildwood Police, Lower Township Police, Wildwood Rescue, Rio Grande Rescue and Medic 8 assisted at the scene. Patrolman Kurt Saettler investigated.
