Pick-Up Truck Hits Route 9 Traffic Light

SWAINTON– A Ford F-150 pick-up truck hit a traffic light and utility pole here at the intersection of Route 9 and Avalon Blvd around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec 27.
Middle Township Ambulance, Court House Fire Department and Swainton Fire Department were dispatched to the scene with Middle Township Police.
The driver of the truck was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center with a non-life threatening head injury.
According to radio reports a dog traveling in the truck ran away from the scene.
The intersection remained open as utility and Department of Transportation crews worked to repair the traffic light and a utility pole.
The accident is under investigation by Middle Township Police.
