Pennsylvania Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash

WOODBINE – Mario Carlo Jr., a 38-year-old Pennsylvania man, was killed on Route 49 Aug. 30 at approximately 12:40 p.m.
Carlo, of Fort Washington, Pa., was driving a Honda CR-V westbound when a Mercedes Sprinter limousine bus traveling eastbound crossed the center line and struck his vehicle, police told the Press of Atlantic City.
According to reports, Carlo attempted to get out of the limo bus’s way, when the front of the limo bus struck the driver’s side of his car. Both vehicles spun, and Carlo’s CR-V overturned.
The unidentified driver of the limo bus was taken to Shore Memorial Hospital by Upper Township EMS with minor injuries.
Carlo was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:47 p.m.
The crash is currently under investigation.
