Pedestrian Struck in Cape May

CAPE MAY- A 34 year-old female was struck by a sport-utility vehicle here on Columbia Ave. and Franklin Street on Dec. 6 at 6:04 p.m.
The victim, whose name was not released by Police, was struck by the SUV while crossing the street.
The victim was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center by Cape May City Fire Department and Atlanticare Paramedics after their request for a medevac was denied due to weather.
The victim was later transferred to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City for treatment. At this time her condition is unknown, according to Police.
The Driver of the SUV, a 60 year-old male, whose name was not released, was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center for observation, according to Police.
No summonses have been issued, according to Police.
The accident is under investigation by Sgt. Bobik and Det. Fashaw.
