Parkway Crash Injures Two Men; One Critically

COURT HOUSE – Two men sustained injuries in a serious accident on the Garden State Parkway at 6:48 p.m. on Wed., Oct. 19 at mile marker 11.1.
According to a report by State Police, a 2005 white Ford E350, operated by Robert Burns of Court House was in the southbound left turning lane, attempting to make a left turn onto eastbound Crest Haven Blvd. A 1995 blue Ford Ranger, driven by Anthony Hagan, of Court House, was also southbound on the Parkway, behind the Ford E350. The driver’s side and front of the Ford Ranger impacted the the passenger side and rear of the Ford E350.
The impact caused the Ford E350 to travel across the northbound lanes and run off the right side of the northbound lanes before coming to a stop. The Ford Ranger rotated counterclockwise, stopping in the turn lane.
Burns was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center (CRMC) for back injuries. His condition is listed as stable. Hagan was initially transported to CRMC and then transported to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center with internal injuries. His condition is listed as critical.
Officers from the Middle Township Police Department, firefighters from the Middle Township Fire Department and Belleplain EMS were on scene to assist. The NJ State Police Fatal Accident Unit and NJ State Police Crime Scene Investigation Unit were also on scene to assist with the investigation. Court House towing removed the vehicles from the scene.
