Pa. Man Killed Heading to Jersey Shore; State Police Remind Motorists: ‘Buckle Up’

MT. EPHRAIM — State Police remind motorist traveling to Cape May County this holiday weekend to “buckle up.” A Philadelphia man en-route to the Jersey Shore with his wife and daughter was killed Fri., July 2, just before noon.
State Police identified the victim as 53-year-old John Fean. Fean’s Ford Explorer collided with another SUV and overturned on Interstate 76 east just before the Route 42/I-295 split.
Police said Fean was partially ejected from the vehicle in the crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
Fean’s wife and daughter survived with minor injuries.
