One Injured, One Charged in Crash

RIO GRANDE – Middle Township Police Department responded to a rollover motor vehicle crash July 7 at 6:19 p.m. on Wildwood Boulevard. Lisa O’Malley, 52, of Sea Isle City was operating a Ford pickup truck eastbound on Wildwood Boulevard when she struck a Honda CRV operated by Randall Riess, 34, of Wildwood Crest. After the collision, the Honda lost control and entered the grass median causing it to roll over.
Riess was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. O’Malley was issued two motor vehicle summons for careless driving and failure to maintain lane.
Middle Township Rescue Squad and Rio Grande Fire Department responded and assisted with the crash scene.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty. This report is based on information received from law enforcement.
