North Cape May Man Dies in Ocean County Parkway Crash

LITTLE EGG HARBOR – A North Cape May man died in a motor vehicle crash Nov. 24 on the Garden State Parkway near Little Egg Harbor, Ocean County, according to Sgt. Lawrence Peele, New Jersey State Police.
The crash occurred near mile marker 58.3 around 2:21 a.m., and closed that section of the road for nearly three and a half hours.
Peele said that a Honda CRV, driven by an unnamed resident of Milmay, struck a disabled Ford Edge, driven by Stephen Chiarle, 48, of North Cape May. Chiarle was pronounced dead at the scene.
As of Nov. 25, the crash remained under investigation by the New Jersey State Police Fatal Accident Unit.
