Multi-Vehicle Rio Grande Crash Backs Up Route 9

RIO GRANDE—Middle Township Police are investigating a four vehicle crash that occurred on Route 9 shortly after 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday, Aug 26.
At least two people were injured. One passenger was airlifted to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City by South Star medevac. The flight crew reported the patient to be a 62 year-old female that was a passenger in a pick-up truck. The truck was struck in the rear at a “high rate of speed”. The patient reportedly sustained a head injury when her head struck the rear window of the trucks cab shattering it.
