WILDWOOD CREST – Wildwood Crest Police received multiple 911 calls in reference to a vehicle that left the roadway and overturned onto the beach at Stanton Road July 8.
Arriving officers found a 2010 BMW overturned with two adults trapped inside on the beach at Stanton Rd. The driver, Nabli Moussa, of East Rutherford, N.J., and a female passenger were safely removed from the vehicle by police, fire and rescue personnel. Witnesses at the scene, stated that the vehicle was at the street end and suddenly accelerated, leaving the street and crashing through a wooden railing before landing on its side on the beach. Moussa and his passenger were transported to Cape May Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
The Wildwood Crest Fire Co. and Rescue squads responded and assisted. Moussa was issued a summons for careless driving. The accident is being investigated by Cpl. Luke Donahue.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
