VILLAS- Lower Township Police Department responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident in the 100 block of Alexander Avenue in Villas Dec. 3 at approximately 8 p.m.
The vehicle, operated by Christine L. McCann, who resides in the 1700 block of Star Avenue, Villas, was reported to be overturned after striking a parked vehicle, rendering her trapped within.
Members of the Villas Fire Company with the assistance of the Lower Township Rescue Squad were able to free McCann from the vehicle.
She was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries sustained in the crash.
She was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and also issued several additional motor vehicle summonses.
