FISHING CREEK- The Lower Township Police Department investigated a motor vehicle crash Nov. 11 at approximately 3:10 a.m. A 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo was being operated southbound on Fishing Creek Road in the Fishing Creek Section of Lower Township, by Roxanne M. Defrancisco.
Miss Defrancisco lost control of her vehicle negotiating a curve in the roadway. Her vehicle left the roadway striking a guard rail and continued southbound striking a tree. Miss Defrancisco was ejected from the vehicle on impact. The vehicle came to rest on its driver’s side.
Villas Fire Department and Lower Township Rescue Squad responded to assist on scene.
Miss Defrancisco was flown to Atlantic City Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.
Miss Defrancisco was charged with several motor vehicle violations including Driving While Under the Influence. The motor vehicle accident and Driving While Under the Influence investigations are being conducted by Cpl. David Fisher and Patrolman James McNulty.
