Middle Police Say Speeding Caused Court House Teen’s Fatal Crash

COURT HOUSE — The Middle Township Police Department’s investigation into the Dec. 28 fatal crash that claimed the life of 17-year-old Kevin Lamb revealed Lamb was driving too fast when he entered a curve on Shunpike Road.
Lamb crossed over into the northbound lane and struck another vehicle driven by Fred Hack Jr., 57, of the township’s Burleigh section. Police said Lamb was not on his cell phone at the time of the crash and he was wearing a seat belt.
Hack attempted to avoid the collision however was unable to do so.
“He did everything he could to avoid the collision,” Lt. John Edwards said.
Hack was taken to Cape Regional Medical Center for evaluation,but was conscious and alert at the scene.
