By Herald Staff

VINELAND – The New Jersey State Police announced that the body of Roy Osmundsen, 54, of Cape May Court House, has been found.
Osmundsen’s family had offered a $20,000 reward and posted fliers asking for help finding him after he went missing Sept. 27, NJ.com reported.
Osmundsen, who suffered from dementia, walked away from a vehicle left on Hwy. 55 around milepost 35 in Vineland.
Information released did not indicate whether Osmundsen was a passenger or driver but referred to “a vehicle in which he was riding.”
Prior to his body being located, Osmundsen was last seen on Sept. 27 just before 10 p.m.
State police had no more information to release as to the cause and circumstances of Osmundsen’s death. The investigation is ongoing.
