SEAVILLE– A 36-year-old man was airlifted to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center’s trauma unit in Atlantic City by South Star medevac after hitting a tree, here in front of 1342 Route 9.
The man was heading north when he lost control and smashed into the tree about 11:20 p.m. on Saturday, March 14.
The Seaville Fire Department worked for twenty minutes using the Jaws-of-life to free the driver.
The Upper Township Rescue Squad and Atlanticare Paramedics treated the driver on scene before the driver was airlifted.
The medevac flight crew reported the victim to be in stable condition with chest and head injuries.
A passenger in the car was also treated on scene for minor injuries.
The accident is under investigation by Troopers at the Woodbine station.
