TUCKAHOE –– According to a press release from the State Police Woodbine Station Barracks, a man sustained head injuries in an industrial accident on the county line and remains in stable but critical condition.
On Dec. 13 at 2:55 p.m., troopers responded to a serious accident on Weatherby Road on the county line in Upper Township.
Investigation at the scene revealed that the victim, Joseph Pfeiffer, while attempting to secure construction mats to a trailer, slipped and fell head-first onto the roadway sustaining blunt trauma.
Other workers on the scene found Pfeiffer and requested emergency services.
Upper Township emergency personnel provided emergency care to the victim and Medic 9 of AtlantiCare arrived shortly after to assist.
Pfeiffer was conscious while at the scene, but unable to provide a statement, according to police.
He was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Division, where he remains in stable but critical condition.
The accident is being investigated by Trooper F. DaCosta.
