Man Airlifted to Trauma Center After Boogie Board Accident in Cape May

CAPE MAY CITY– A 62 year-old male was airlifted to the trauma unit at Cooper University Hospital in Camden Sunday afternoon for a head injury.
The unidentified man was reported to have been knocked off of a Boogie Board by a wave which resulted in him hitting his head and shoulder in the area of the Howard Street beach.
The Cape May City Fire Department treated the man on scene with beach patrol units before he was transfered to the helicopter.
The flight crew for South Star medevac reported the man was in stable condition.
