MARMORA — An unidentified jet skier, reported missing in the Great Egg Harbor River during the early hours of Mon., Sept. 3 was found safe and sound, according to police.
Sgt. Brian Polite of the New State Police, told the Herald an initial report came in to the Coast Guard Marine Unit at approximately 5 a.m. stating an unattended jet ski had been found in an area near the Tuckahoe Inn.
According to Polite, a state police helicopter was dispatched to the area to search for the missing rider, along with other state police assets at approximately 6 a.m.
At 6:30 a.m., police in the Atlantic City Marine Station received notification the missing jet skier had been found “safe and sound.”
