Hit-and-Run Crash Results in Charges To Court House Man

COLD SPRING – Lower Township Police Officer Jennifer Anzelone responded to and investigated a hit and run motor vehicle accident July 19 at approximately 12:52 a.m. at the Route 109 jug handle.
The vehicle, a blue work truck, had struck five signs, knocked over a traffic standard and post, damaged a telephone pole and subsequently fled the scene.  Located among the debris of the accident was a license plate registered to Robert S. Murphy, from Court House.
After speaking with witnesses and attaining a vehicle description, the vehicle was located at Murphy’s residence with significant damage. Murphy was charged with failure to maintain a lane, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident. 
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty. This report is based on information received from law enforcement.
