Green Creek Hit-Run Crash Injures One on Route 47

GREEN CREEK – Middle Township Police Department responded to a pedestrian motor vehicle crash, on Route 47, Sept. 10, at 8:25 p.m. in the vicinity of a motel, according to a release.
Responding officers found Chelsea Quinn, 20, of Green Creek, on the side of the road by Whispering Woods Motel. Quinn was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The vehicle that struck her left the scene. It was described as a silver, four-door Chevrolet Malibu that was last seen heading south on Rte. 47.
On Sept. 11, Middle Township police found and arrested the driver, Erika Andrews, 27, of Villas.
Andrews was charged with leaving the scene of a crash resulting in serious bodily injury, (a third degree offense), driving while suspended and causing serious bodily injury, (a fourth degree offense), and careless driving.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
