Glider Crashes on Takeoff at Woodbine Airport

WOODBINE– A glider failed to takeoff at the Woodbine airport just after 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, Nov 22.
The pilot walked away from the crash with no injuries.
According to Federal Aviation Administration records, the 2002 Schempp-Hirth glider is registered to Raymond J. Roberts of Wilmington, DE.
The Woodbine Fire Department, Belleplain Emergency Corps and Woodbine Borough Office of Emergency Management responded to the crash with State Police.
The accident is under investigation by the New Jersey Department of Transportation Division of Aeronautics.
