COURT HOUSE – This year as of Jan. 13, Cape May County had recorded no fatal motor vehicle accidents, according to New Jersey State Police.
In 2013, from Jan. 11 to Oct. 26, there were five fatalities in as many accidents on Cape May County roads. That was the lowest number of fatalities of the 21 counties. Of those, four were drivers, one was a passenger.
Warren and Sussex counties each recorded six fatalities, Salem and Hunterdon each recorded nine fatalities. Middlesex County recorded the highest number in the state with 56.

Jan. 11: Middle Township at 12:10 a.m., Garden State Parkway milepost 6.5.
Jan. 18: Middle Township at 8:24 p.m., County Road 620 (Shunpike Road) milepost .65.
July 18: Dennis Township at 9:58 p.m., Route 347 South milepost .9.
Aug. 30: Upper Township at 3:48 p.m., Marshallville Road milepost 4.8.
Oct. 26: Middle Township at 9:19 a.m., Garden State Parkway southbound milepost 8.4 at Shell Bay Avenue.
There were an equal number of fatal accidents in Warren County, six in Sussex County, seven in Hunterdon, and eight in Salem County.
In total, there were 535 fatalities in the state, 300 were drivers, and 91 were passengers. There were 14 bicyclists killed and 130 pedestrians who were fatalities in accidents.
Cape May – Governor Murphy says he doesn't know anything about the drones and doesn't know what they are doing but he does know that they are not dangerous. Does anyone feel better now?
