Driver Crashes Car Into Villas Building

VILLAS – Villas Fire Department responded to reports of a car in a building May 14 around 6:00 a.m.
Upon arrival, Assistant Chief Bryan Harron of Villas Fire Department confirmed a single car inside the building of the newly renovated Lower Township Millman Center located at 209 Bayshore Road, Villas. One person was trapped in the driver’s seat of the vehicle with a partial building collapse.
Crews operated for an extended time due to the construction material on the vehicle.
The driver was extricated from the vehicle after the roof was cut off and transported to the hospital by Lower Township Rescue Squad and Medic 5.
Units operating on scene were Villas and Green Creek fire companies.
The Lower Township Police Department is investigating the accident.
