Driver Airlifted to Trauma Center Following Belleplain Crash

BELLEPLAIN– A Woodbine woman lost control when she drove over an icy patch of road and struck a pole here on Hoffman Mill Road. Rosario Amparo, 25, sustained head and arm injuries and was airlifted to Atlanticare Regional Trauma Center in Atlantic City by South Star medevac.
The crash occurred at around 2:45 p.m. on Monday, Dec 21.
Belleplain Fire Department arrived on scene and reported the driver needed to be extricated from the vehicle.
Belleplain Emergency Corps and Medic 9 also responded.
The crash is under investigation by troopers at the Woodbine station.
