Cyclist Injured in Accident

WILDWOOD CREST — A female bicyclist was injured Aug. 27 after she was struck by a pickup truck on Cresse Avenue here, police said.
The victim, whose name was not released, was reportedly riding her bike on the south sidewalk on the 300 block of Cresse Avenue when she entered the street from between parked vehicles and was struck by a pickup truck driven by Paul Hegarty, 50, of Philadelphia, according to police.
The victim was airlifted to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, police said. Sgt. Joseph McGrath is investigating the accident. No charges have been filed.
