SOUTH DENNIS — No injuries were reported in a July 20 motor vehicle accident that tied up traffic for some time here on County Route 657 and Route 47.
Belleplain Emergency Corps, Dennisville Fire Department and State Police responded to the crash about 6:15 p.m. near Southville Diner. Units arrived to find a BMW had left the road, struck a traffic light and continued on into the wooded area.
State Police notified the state Department of Transportation that traffic light would need to be replaced. The Cape May County Fire Police were called to the scene to direct traffic while crews worked to clear the scene.
The accident is under investigation by State Police Woodbine Station.
