Crash Injures Three Children, Woman

GREEN CREEK – Middle Township Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash on SH 47 in Green Creek Wednesday, Aug. 5 at 6 p.m. A Toyota Corolla, operated by Gilmarie Crespo, 23, of Villas, was traveling north on SH 47. She was stopped in traffic waiting to make a left turn into the Delsea Woods Mobile Home Park when she was rear ended by a Ford truck, operated by Joseph Degirolamo, 68, of North Cape May.
Crespo had three children in the vehicle, ages 4, 5, and 8. The children were airlifted to Cooper Hospital in Camden, N.J. All the children are in stable condition. Crespo was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center for minor injuries. 
Degirolamo was issued a summons for careless driving.
Green Creek Fire Company, medics from Medicare, and Middle Rescue responded to the scene to assist with the investigation.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
