Crash Flips Car, 5 Hurt

OCEAN CITY – Ocean City Police and Fire Departments responded to a motor vehicle crash at 27th Street and Wesley Avenue.
According to a release, investigation on scene determined that a vehicle operated by Kevin DiPatri of Pilesgrove Township was traveling northbound in the 2700 block Wesley Avenue. DiPatri’s vehicle crossed the center line striking a vehicle traveling southbound, occupied by four individuals.
DiPatri’s vehicle overturned as a result of the collision. The second vehicle spun out striking a legally parked vehicle and coming to rest.
DiPatri suffered a serious injury to his left hand and was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center where he was last reported in stable condition.
All individuals in the second vehicle where taken to Shore Medical Center for minor complaints of pain.
Dipatri was issued a summons for careless driving. No one was in the parked vehicle when it was struck.
