UPDATE: In an email to the Herald Jan. 8, an employee at Dock Connection stated the crane that flipped over was not caused by another piece of equipment.

SEA ISLE CITY – A crane belonging to Dock Connection of Ocean View was knocked over Dec. 31. According to an employee of Dock Connection, the crane had been flipped backward by another machine. Dock Connection was at the site working on a small bulkhead.
“This has never happened before,” the employee said. Dock Connection has been constructing and repairing docks since 2006. This is the first time they have ever had an issue with machinery falling.”
The employee said the crane was put upright and removed the same day.
