Court House Man Seriously Injured in Atlantic County Crash

NORTHFIELD — Ronald Ward, 76, of Court House, was seriously injured on Tue., July 27 in a crash on Route 9, according to a Press of Atlantic City report.
The report stated that Ward was driving north on Route 9 at 5:48 a.m. when his car hit several road signs near the intersection of Tilton Road. The car continued north on Route 9, crossed over into the southbound lane, and hit a utility pole at the intersection with Jackson Avenue before sideswiping a southbound vehicle driven by Edgar Mendoza, 41, of Northfield. Ward’s car then overturned in the road.
Ward suffered multiple injuries and was taken to the trauma unit of AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, the report said. He remained in serious condition Tuesday afternoon, hospital spokeswoman Jenna DeCicco said.
