Coast Guard Rescues 16-year-old Girl

PHILADELPHIA – The Coast Guard medevaced a 16-year-old female May 23 after the 32-foot boat she was on ran aground in Sunset Lake north of Cape May Harbor, N.J.
Rescued was Jessica Catarese.
The Coast Guard received a call at 6:30 p.m. reporting the boat Pain Killer with three people aboard ran aground.
Catarese was ejected from the boat when it ran aground and sustained head injuries.
A rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Cape May arrived on scene and transported Catarese to Schooner Island Marina in Wildwood, and transferred her to awaiting emergency medical personnel.
Catarese was taken to Cape Regional Medical Center in Cape May Court House, N.J.
