ATLANTIC CITY — The Coast Guard medevaced a 38-year-old female on July 11 after she sustained a head injury from slipping aboard a boat in the Delaware Bay near Fortescue.
The Coast Guard received a call about 2:52 p.m. from someone aboard the Soggy Dollar reporting the victim was unconscious, had a weak pulse, not breathing and that CPR was being conducted.
A rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Fortescue, arrived on scene and also conducted CPR on her.
A helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City arrived on scene and hoisted her aboard the helicopter and transported her to Cape Regional Medical Center in Court House where she was transferred to emergency medical personnel.
