Coast Guard Crew Recovers Body of Missing Boater

BARNEGAT — The Coast Guard recovered the body of a 64-year-old man Oct. 7 who disappeared from a 40-foot sailboat in Barnegat Inlet here.
Deceased is Clint Vanorsdell of Massachusetts.
The Coast Guard received a call at 5:41 p.m. from a crewman aboard the Sea Whirl reporting they found a body five and a half miles south of Barnegat Inlet.
A boat crew from Coast Guard Station Barnegat Light arrived on scene and recovered the body. The body was transported to Station Barnegat Light and transferred to the Morris County Medical Examiner Office.
