Coast Guard Airlifts Man from Eight Miles off Cape May

CAPE MAY — The Coast Guard medevaced a 51-year-old man Thursday from a 68-foot boat eight miles off the coast of Cape May, N.J.
Medevaced was Michael Bandy.
According to a release, the Coast Guard received a call at 9:46 a.m. from a crew member aboard the Beach Comber, homeported in Cape May, reporting Bandy had fainted while on the roof of the boat observing the antennas.
A rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Cape May arrived on scene and transported Bandy to the station where he was transferred to awaiting emergency medical personnel.
Bandy was taken to Cape Regional Medical Center, Court House.
