UPPER TOWNSHIP – A 4-year-old child drowned in his family’s swimming pool at a home on Route 50 in Upper Township June 24, according to NBC 40.
Police were called to the home around 8:15 p.m. after the boy was pulled from the swimming pool and was unresponsive.
Police told NBC 40 that family members told them the child was playing outside in a fenced in area in the backyard and somehow found his way into the pool.
The child could not be resuscitated after multiple attempts by emergency responders.
The incident is under investigation.
