WILDWOOD — A 12-year-old boy from Philadelphia drowned in a motel pool on July 5.
According to a press release issued by the Wildwood Police Department: on July 5 at 5:38 p.m. members of the Wildwood Police Department, Wildwood Fire Department, as well as medics responded to a call reporting a drowning at the Blue Palms Motel.
Upon their arrival, the child was on the cement deck of the pool and was being administered to by the motel staff as well as other guests. Emergency medical services were administered at the scene and the child was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center, Court House where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The child’s name has not been released.
