LEWES, Del. — The Coast Guard rescued three people Monday, Dec. 15 aboard a disabled 17-foot boat in the entrance of Delaware Bay near here, according to a release.
The Coast Guard received a call about 6 p.m. reporting the boat disabled and anchored.
A Coast Guard helicopter crew from Air Station Atlantic City was diverted from a training flight and located the boat.
A rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Indian River, Del., arrived on scene and towed the boat and crew to Lewes.
