ERMA — A motor vehicle accident today, in which a vehicle struck a utility pole and snapped it in half at Breakwater Road and Nummytown Road at 7:35 a.m. has temporarily closed Breakwater Road, eastbound, according to Lower Township police.
Schools were being notified of the incident because of school buses that travel that road.
Later, all traffic on Breakwater in that vicinity was being detoured until rescue could care for the victim. A medevac helicopter was summoned.
Erma Volunteer Fire Company and Lower Township Rescue are responding.
