Car Smashes into Carpet Store in Villas

VILLAS — A motorist crashed a Chevy Equinox through the front doors of Huffman’s Floor Coverings, Weber Avenue and Bayshore Road, Thursday June 18 about 11:45 a.m. There were no injuries.
The Equinox, bearing a Pennsylvania license plate, also sideswiped a Ford F-150 pickup truck parked next to it.
The Equinox entered far into the store damaging displays.
Villas Volunteer Fire Company responded with Lower Township police and Lower Township Rescue.
The township’s construction official, Gary Playford, was called to the scene to inspect the store for structural damage.
